DEANGELIS DIAMOND
FIRM PROFILE
Problem: DeAngelis Diamond wanted a new firm profile to represent their company culture and approach to the industry. They felt the old design of their brochure was dated and didn't engage their potential clients and new team members enough.
Solution: Kicking off this project, I worked closely with DeAngelis Diamond leadership to get a sense of what they wanted their new design to accomplish. Together we established that they wanted something bold and "fun", with elements that felt raw like the industry itself. To lean into that I crafted hand-drawn iconography to be used throughout the brochure, overlaid images with "paint" elements, and utilized a bold, complimentary color palette that used the signature blue branding for DeAngelis Diamond as a base. I also selected font stylized like handwriting to really give the viewer a feel that this booklet was a hand-notated construction manual.

My initial approach to this project involved outlining the content and page layouts for each section of the firm profile. This preparatory step proved useful, as it not only streamlined the design process but also aided in the initial discussions with leadership. It provided a clear vision of the end goal, enabling us to refine the content by deciding what to include or exclude before final designs were undergone.
